President John Dramani Mahama is due to address Ghanaians at 8 p.m today.

This will be his maiden address to the nation since he became president after the sudden demise of President John Evans Atta Mills.

The address would be broadcast live on GTV at 8 p.m.

According to spokesperson for the president, John Jinapor, the President amongst others is expected to talk about how he intends to govern the country and also the direction he wants the political discourse to take.

The President is also expected to outline his vision for the last stretch of the administration he has taken over which has about four months to expire.

Mr Jinapor said President Mahama is also expected to encourage Ghanaians that collectively and with a common purpose they could move the nation forward.
