The Awal’s Children of the Future Foundation (ACOTF), is a not-for-profit organization focused on helping street children, orphans, and the needy in Ghana. Founded by Awal Alhassan (Possi Gee), the ACOTF Foundation is dedicated to raising money and making grants to charitable organizations which focus on improving and elevating the general welfare and well-being of the less fortunate, specifically children in unfortunate circumstances.
Eight of Ghana’s unassailable Music Artists form Ambassadors to this foundation and they are Ruff n Smooth, Efya, Sarkodie, Yaw Siki, Tiffany, Mohammed, Chase and Fritz.
Last year, 31st December, 2011, the Foundation together with its Eight (8) Ambassadors went to James Town to spend the last day of the year with the needy Children there of which over 1,000 Children were fed.
With a wider aim this year, the Foundation will on the 30th December, 2012, together with its Ambassadors and Architecture (Awal Alhassa) have a fund raising show to raise enough funds for another Home. Dubbed ‘Chill Out at The Park’, the event will be held at T Havana Park in Tema, Community 9 at 12:30pm. This is to project the hope of the needy Children and galvanize their ambitions into the coming year as well as providing them with fun filled activities with their Musical icons.
Wrist bands of the Foundation would be sold to the attendees of the Show and money raised from there would as well be diverted to a carefully selected Home by management of the Foundation.
This event is an Awal Children of The Future (ACOTF) initiative in collaboration with Pravda Radio, Sound Masters, Event A2Z, T Havana Park. It has media support from www.233times.com, www.talkofgh.com , www.ghanamotion.com , www.bigxgh.com , Ghana Promo, Pent Haus, Sea Links, TBE Promotions and Possible Imagesi
