Made of Promzy, Prodigal and Zeal, VIP is the trio in Ghana which has been applauded by many for their consistency and enormous achievement since their 17 years of breaking into the musical scene. With prolific songs which make their fans enjoy non-stop medley from their camp, VIP is saluted when it comes to hit making.

Prodigal, the hoarse voice member of the group has embarked on a solo project. The endeavour which does not insinuate the disintegration of the group has raised a lot of eye brows from fans and non-fans alike. Many people have asked “why this solo project and if VIP is breaking, let us know ooo”

The song ‘DJs’ which features Raquel according to Prodigal is a way of showing appreciation to all the Disc Jockey’s for their undying support since their ‘underground’ days to now mentions most of the DJs who have been ‘Mother Theresa’ to them.

Some names such as DJ Black, Flexy, Kwame Sefa Kai, Blakk Rasta, Bola Ray, Jay Folley among others are given ‘shout outs’ by Prodigal. With great word play with the names of the DJs, Prodigal has received applauds from those who have listened to the masterpiece.

Just before this reporter was about to put this piece together, a friend pinged him on BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) about how great the ‘Djs’ song by Prodigal is.

VIP is still a trio and there is no fear of them disintegrating, this reporter can authoritatively posit. This solo project from Prodigal which will be followed by Promzy is a creative idea to show fans and all how spectacular their individual talents are. “My man Promzy will also release his single very soon” Prodigal mentioned on Late Nite Celebrity Show.

Speaking to this reporter, Prodigal mentioned that, “I grateful to all the DJs for their support since day one and one person whose name did not feature in the mentions that bleeds my heart is KOD. He has been with the movement since and a brother to the group”

To Prodigal, whether a DJs name is mentioned or not, the song is dedicated to him/her.
