EXPOSURE: Meet Kwame; a Talent to take over Ghana Music

By on

15Kwame has been doing music for over 10 years. He started in Presec Legon where he was part of one of the recognized rap groups at that time, Hot Triggaz. After senior high school, he moved to the States where he continued to do music as a hobby with his High School friends who happened to move too.

They eventually formed Blakstarh ENT. After putting out an album, which was highly regarded in the underground hiphop scene, the group went on a hiatus mostly because of school. Kwame never stopped though. He continued to put out songs and eventually a mixtape called Royalty which was well received among the bloggers and internet surfers.

IMG-20130809-WA002With his mixtape receiving the response it did and Ghanaian music becoming more and more accepted internationally, he decided to start taking things seriously. He went on a limb and sought out StoneBwoy, the talented Ghanaian Dance hall Artiste, with a beat produced by Nana Yaw, an equally talented beat maker, who also lived in the States.

The concept attracted StoneBwoy and before you know it, Kwame is on a plane flying to Accra to get this song, Love Somebody, done. The result — a mid tempo love song with a crazily catchy chorus.
