Before 8 pm yester night, Fred, the President Team Sarkodie had a call from the administrators of ghanaweb and other websites who were confirming the death of Sarkodie. To his (Fred) surprise, instead of him answering them, he was rather asking them “when, ei how, for where?”
The news about the death of the BET Award winner had circulated on the Social Media for some minutes before the Rapper debunked the rumour himself. To the rumour mill, the young musician had been involved in a fatal accident on the Kintampo road, in the Brong Ahafo Region. As to where the news emanated from, Team Sarkodie is still investigating.
Sarkodie, who rubbished the rumour took to Twitter and wrote “Useless news …. I’m enjoying ma jollof… lo””. Manager of the Talent (Sarkodie) also announced that, “Just a rumor guys… Sarkodie is safe and sound….”
Sarkology, the third studio album of the Rapper is set to be released soon; meanwhile, a single from the album, ‘Elijah’ which features Obrafour and produced by Hammer of Last 2 will be released on 17th August, confidants say.
