Brazil 2014 World Cup: Kwesi Appiah names 4 stand-by players

By on

kwesiThe Ghana Football Association wishes to announce that four players have been placed on the Black Stars stand-by list for the World Cup.

Goalkeeper Razak Brimah, Kwabena Adusei, Yusif Chibsah Rahman and Mahatma Osumanu Otoo are on the Black Stars stand-by list.

The four players will not train with the team in Accra or travel with the team on their training tour of Holland and the United States of America.

Coach Kwesi Appiah has spoken to all the four players to explain to them the rationale behind his decision to add them to his already-announced 26-man squad.

The decision is to ensure that the players stay fit while they are on holidays if there is a last minute decision to include them in the final squad.
