On the morning of May 13, 2014, the US singer-songwriter and pastor asked his over hundred thousand followers on microblogging site Twitter to ‘join him in praying for Nigeria’ as the country battles (more like struggles) to rescue over 200 girls abducted by Boko Haram in Chibok, Borno State, one month ago.

His Twitter handle within an hour began trending in Lagos.

Other international personalities who have joined the campaign include Diddy, Alicia Keys, Michelle Obama and many others.
