After touring the Greater Accra Region on Monday, Nana Akufo-Addo continued the monitoring exercise by visiting five registration centres in the Awutu Senya East, Gomoa East and Mfantseman constituencies.
At the Odupong-Kpehe Urban Council and the Children’s rainbow library Registration Centres, located in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, he observed that, the Supreme Court’s declaration banning the use of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) card as one of the IDs proving identity and eligibility was stringently adhered to.
Activity at both registration centres came to a standstill after residents learnt of Nana Akufo-Addo’s presence in the constituency.
He was told by the NPP agents that most first time voters had come with two voters to validate their eligibility before they were allowed to register.
Nana Akufo-Addo then visited the Ebenezer Methodist Church registration centre, at Mankessim, in the Mfantseman constituency, where 56 voters were registered on Monday.
The Akuada-Anafo registration centre in Saltpond, also in the Mfantseman constituency, was the final centre visited by Nana Akufo-Addo.
Nana Akufo-Addo will visit the Volta Region and observe the registration process at the centres over the weekend.
