By on

A BMW 320i with registration number GT 2313 Q was travelling on the Tetteh-Quarshie to Madina stretch of the Walker Bush highway and suddenly collided into  a Toyota Corolla with registration number  GN 7137-13 just opposite the Total Filling Station at Legon.

According to eye witness, the collision between the BMW and the Toyota Corolla caused the two cars to veer off their lane to the opposite lane where an urvan vehicle with registration number CR 1636 C unexpectedly crushed into the front passenger side of the Toyota Corolla immediately injuring a woman who was sitting there. The driver of the BMW was unharmed and so is the driver of the corolla who was saved by the airbag of the car.

When this reporter visited the Legon police station where the damaged Toyota was towed to, it was gathered, the injured woman in the Toyota Corolla was actually on her way to visit her daughter at Ashongman. travelling all the way from Peki in the volta region. This was narrated by her daughter at the police station.

The urvan vehicle however recorded most of the casualties with the driver and two passengers losing both of their legs and many of the passengers sustaining various degrees of injuries. It took the Legon police officers and volunteers to carefully pull the driver and the injured passengers out of the vehicle.

Everyone involved in the accident was however rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. The accident  caused a temporal vehicular traffic at that section of the road.

Below are the photos of the scene and cars involved.
