KNUST gets new Vice-Chancellor

img201622_10556The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Council has appointed Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, Provost of the College of Science, as the new Vice-Chancellor.

He replaces Professor William Otoo Ellis, whose term of office ends in August, this year.

Professor Obiri-Danso, a Biological Scientist, is to serve a four- year term, ending July 31, 2020.

A statement, signed by Mr. Ben O. Andoh, acting Registrar of the KNUST, copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Kumasi, on Thursday, said the decision was taken at the 238th Special Meeting of the Council.
