-They risk prosecution for what looks like another scam

THE Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), David Asante Apeatu, has ordered the dismissal of 229 police recruits receiving training at Police Training Schools in five regions for not meeting the required academic qualifications.

Dismissed recruits face probing

The various training schools have also been directed to submit the list of sacked recruitments to the National Police Headquarters for further action.

The Director-General of Human Resource Development of the Ghana Police Service, Commissioner of Police Mrs Beatrice Vib-Sanziri, gave the order in a letter circulated to all Commanding Officers of the affected training schools.

According to her, the directive came from the Acting IGP.
