Frances Essiam appointed GCMC CEO

Frances-Essiam-720x360President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Frances Essiam as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company (GCMC).

This was contained in a letter dated April 25, 2017. In a letter sighted by, Ms Essiam’s appointment was confirmed by the Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko. She has been a member of the communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). In 2012, she failed to annex the Adentan Constituency as she lost the elections to National Democratic Congress’ Emmanuel Nii Ashe Moore.

In 2016, she was defeated in primaries by incumbent MP for Adentan, Yaw Buaben Asamoah. Before joining the NPP, Ms Essiam was the National Women’s Organiser for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
