Sek/Tadi gas explosion: W/R Minister suspends confirmation of MDCEs

Dr.-Kwaku-AfriyieThe Western Regional Minister Dr Kweku Afriyie has suspended the rest of the confirmation of Municipal and District Chief Executive Nominees following Tuesday’s horrific Gas explosion in Takoradi.

The minister who has been going round with Presidential Staffer Charles Bissue since Monday in the Northern Part of the Region to monitor the confirmation of the nominees has put the exercise on hold.

He is scheduled to visit some of the victims of the explosion who are still on admission at the various Hospitals in the Metropolis tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10.

Meanwhile, about 100 out of the about 120 victims have been discharged.
