Reckless display with vehicles by commercial mini bus drivers at a funeral of a colleague driver has claimed another life with another in critical condition at Funko, a fishing community in the Ahanta West District.
Sadly, both the deceased and the injured were part of the numerous sympathizers who had gathered to mourn the late driver, an indigene of the community.
An eye witness tells Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson they were at the wake keeping of the deceased driver on Friday, July, 7 when at around 11pm, drivers who were displaying with their Vehicles at the funeral grounds mistakenly lost control and rammed into the milling crowd injury three, two women and a man.
They were rushed to the Kwesimintsim and Effia Nkwanta Hospital but one of the victims, a Lady in his 40s was pronounced dead shortly on arrival.
The body has since been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital Morgue whilst another victim is still in critical condition.
