Known in Sekondi-Takoradi as one of the exceptional fashion designers, Ibrahim Yahaya Anafo better yet known in the fashion business as Tailor Rahim has officially revealed that Saturday the 12th of August, 2017 is the date for his maiden fashion show, ‘Image is everything’
At SSNIT Conference Room 311 located in Takoradi at 4pm, personalities across various industries in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis will inundate the venue to witness the display of unique styles from AnafoBisi Clothing.
“I had no experience or skills in sewing or sketching of clothing after national service. I didn’t even have any machine to start with so I started telling people I have a clothing line and began taking orders from them which I would take to tailors to sew for me and then I will deliver to customers” Rahim revealed how he started his entrepreneurship in fashion designing.
He further revealed “Facebook was my first business tool, I did that till I bought my first sewing machine and employed someone to start with inside my room.”
Surprisingly, Tailor Rahim has no academic/professional training in fashion designing. He is an alumnus of Adisadel College where he read Science and holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).
Ahead of the ‘Image is everything’ event, media personalities, musicians, actors and actresses have expressed their interest in displaying the designs on the runway.
It is by far one of the events in the Sekondi-Takoradi that is enjoying massive social media hype.
