Two vehicles, a private and commercial, were said to have collided head on when driver of the private car lost control, a local journalist, Michael Adomako reported. Three of the four persons who were in the commercial vehicle were burnt to death when the vehicle caught fire after the accident, which occurred at about 8:30pm.
Driver of the commercial vehicle escaped death but in a critical condition at the Efia Nkwanta Government Hospital while driver of the private car has been sent to the Ekwe Hospital. The commercial vehicle was travelling from Takoradi to Esiama when the accident happened, our correspondent reported.
Bodies of the three have since been deposited at the Axim Government Hospital mortuary.
