Wooden structures serving as safe havens for the suspected criminals were also set ablaze by the Police which have vowed to make criminal activities in the region unattractive to the people. Central Regional Police Commander, COP Rev. Nenyi Ampah Benin said the Police would ensure the Central Region remains peaceful and uncomfortable for criminals to operate. “They [criminals] should leave this region because this place is not a safe haven for them,” he warned.
