An Accra Circuit Court has ordered that a teenager and two others be kept in police custody for their alleged involvement in a robbery case.

Alexander Amofa Donkor, 18, student, Kwame Ayerebi, 25, sprayer and Philip Otoo, 35, Mason, alias “Ewiase” have denied conspiring to rob a trader of her cash and items to the tune of GH¢7,500.00 at knife point.

In addition, Donkor has been charged for possessing two wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, popularly known as “Wee”.

An accomplice, who is yet to be identified, is currently on the run.

They are to make their next appearance on September 13.

Police Inspector Samuel Ahiabor told the Court presided over by Mrs Afi Agbanu Kudormor, that Love Klotey, the Prosecution witness is a resident of Amanfrom, near Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region.

Donkor is a student of the Agric College at Achimota and together with his colleagues, they all live in the same area with the victim.

Inspector Ahiabor said on August 21, at about 0430hours, Klotey was on her way to board a bus to Accra when the four from nowhere approached her.

They attacked her at knife point and took her hand bag containing GH¢2,400.00, a cheque of GH¢1,200.00, a calculator valued GH¢3,900.00 and a voter’s identity card.

The Prosecution said Donkor was later arrested the same day and handed over to the police.

A search on him revealed two wraps of leaves suspected to be “Wee” as well as Tramadol tablets.

Donkor mentioned Ayerebi, Otoo and the one on the run as his accomplices and they were subsequently arrested.
