Dubbed ‘LightUp Egyam Orphanage,’ online news portal in collaboration with organizers of Western Music Awards, Westline Entertainment painted the Egyam Orphanage in Takoradi from 22nd September to 25th September, 2018.
According to the CEO of www.233times.com Nana Kwesi Coomson, “We are grateful to our partners and individual donors for their immense support on this project, we couldn’t have done this without their support. This is something we find absolute fulfillment in and it is our joy to know that every corner of the orphanage is painted.”
The painting of the Orphanage was supported by Adolescent, Writers, Drama and Debaters Clubs of St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School in Takoradi.
“If you look at how big the orphanage is, if we did not get the support of the St. Mary’s SHS Students and other people, we would have taken weeks to paint. Even with over 30 people we used 4 days so we are eternally grateful to those who supported us with paints and those who came to help us paint the orphanage. We are grateful” Emmanuel Ampaabeng, CEO of Westline Entertainment added.
The Director of Egyam Orphanage, Sister Gladys who expressed her profound gratitude said that “We were thinking about how to paint the home after we fixed the trap doors. The amount that was involved in painting the home made us suspend the thought of painting it for now. We think you are God sent to do this for us. The home is looking very beautiful now and everyone who passes by says it. God bless you so much for this and we are very grateful.”
Supported by Shola Music and Y3mboa Nyimpa Group, www.233times.com and Westline Entertainment also partnered Event 5 and Corpnation Organisations for the ‘LightUp Egyam Orphanage’ project.
