Speaking at a press conference in Cape Coast on Thursday , DCOP Paul Manly Awini, explained that on Tuesday night at about 8:30pm, the snap check team at Ekumfi Abor stopped a taxi driver, but the driver refused to stop and drove off in the process, nearly knocking down a police officer who dived into a nearby bush.

However, the Police has managed to arrested eight of the suspected attackers.
