Titled ‘Dzi M’asem ma me,’ the highlife song with much brass band performance is an appellations to God for a successful 2018. “Even though in 2018, I lost my mum and just this week, I’ve also lost my father too but like the Bible says in all things give thanks to God for He knows what is good and does for His children. This song is a song to encourage people that be grateful that you have seen the last month of 2018.”
According to Corp Sayvee who is known for his thematic songs, when he was composing ‘Dzi M’asem Ma me,’ Kofi Kinaata came to his mind first due to the nature of the song which has deep meaning “and you know that Kofi Kinaata is noted for such deep songs so I thought he fits it perfectly” Corp Sayvee said.
On social and traditional media, those who have had the rare privilege of listening to the song before its release say it is the biggest 2018 Christmas song for Ghana.
