Fast rising Artiste from the Central Region of Ghana, Kobbi Jay, real name John Nketsiah Egyir has made great announcement in Ghana music with his master piece ‘Odo yewu’ which features 2018 VGMA Record of the year winner Teephlow.
Kobbi Jay who mentioned in ‘Odo yewu’ song that he is ready to do anything that the love of his life asks of him also reveals that, he is of the firm belief that this is true love he’s found. “My love, you’re the only one I love, you’re the one I want, and something about you excites and interests me” Kobbi Jay sings in ‘Odo yewu.’
Teephlow enters the song rapping about how he is also ready to give to the love of his life anything she wants.
Released on Wednesday 20th March, 2019, industry players in music have given ‘Odo yewu’ rave rating and have ‘prophesized’ about the bright future of Kobbi Jay.
ABOUT KOBBI JAY
Born John Nketsiah Egyir, Kobbi Jay was born on 8th October 1996 at Asebu,Abakrampa in the Central Region of Ghana.
A former Student of St Andrews Junior High School, he continued to Biriwa (N. V. T. I) where he offered Carpentry and Joining (C & J) .He formed a group called 3Geez which was later changed to Double Geez and started writing songs with his group which became the genesis of his music career.
Kobbi Jay was discovered at Asenadze where he currently stays and has a three (3) year contract with Maglin Entertainment, Cabin City Music. As part of his rebranding under the new record label, the managers gave him the stage name ‘Kobbi Jay.’ Before the release of ‘Odo yewu,’ Kobbi Jay has one single titled “My Heart” produced by award winning Engineer Williz Beatz.
His master piece ‘Odo yewu’ talks about a very pretty lady whom Kobbi Jay had fallen in love with. He makes profound promises in the song to the lady he has fallen in love with.
