Takoradi: 25yr old man dies in akpeteshie drinking contest

A 25 year old unemployed man has died in an akpeteshie competition at Ntankoful in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, today Friday morning around 11: 15am.

The deceased whose name is given as Hamza believed was said to have consumed 4 of the ‘quarter’ bottles of the locally brewed alcohol and collapsed in the process of taking the 5th one.

His challenger who is also said to be unconscious has been revived with a mashed kenkey by colleagues who were around.

The body is yet to be conveyed to the mortuary at the time of filling this report.
